Forane® 407A (R-407A) is a non-ozone depleting, zeotropic blend of HFC refrigerants R-32, R-125 and R-134a. Forane® 407A is a lower GWP refrigerant, designed for the replacement of R-404A and R-507A (retrofit and new equipment) in medium and low temperature refrigeration. Common applications include supermarket refrigeration, refrigerated transports and food processing. R-407A can also be used as an R22 retrofit for medium and low temperature refrigeration systems but is not intended for air conditioning applications nor recommended for use in systems with flooded evaporators. Overall system capacities and efficiencies of an R-407A retrofit will be similar to those of R-22 for the US.
