Frequent UV and Filtration Questions in Schools

Posted on Tuesday Sep 01, 2020 at 11:26AM in General

Why was UV light called the “most reliable and widely accepted approach” to inactivating SARS-COV-2?

Recently, the University of Milano conducted a study on the effectiveness of UV-C light in combating SARS-COV-2. They found that SARS-COV-2 can be transmitted through the air in the form of an aerosol and can survive outside the body for hours. Because of this, it’s imperative that in addition to sanitizing surfaces, we sanitize the air we breathe.
